Baby Playground

Please note that the Playground session at Wood Avenue will be moving to a new location from 1 June.

Our new location will be Folkestone Library, Sandgate Road.

Free sensory and non-verbal creative activities for babies 0-18 months and their parents and carers to enjoy.

From exploring music, light, textures and sounds to movement and smells, these exciting sessions are a perfect opportunity for families to engage with new experiences, sensations and connect with each other.

It’s free to join, but you'll need to book your space in advance.

Each Baby Playground ticket allows for one adult and one baby under 18 months. If you are attending a Baby Playground session with twins, triplets, or multiples an additional adult may accompany you.

A group of young babies and their parents/carers are sat together during a Baby Playground session in a library

"It is just great to be present with my son and to be reminded that everything is new to my baby, everything is a first."

Parent

  • A baby and mother are lying next to each other on a textured black mat. The mother is smiling at her baby and the baby is looking up at a net with black and white materials on it
  • A small baby and their parent/carer are lying on their backs on a black textured mat. The parent/carer is touching the baby's chest who is looking up at the ceiling
  • 2 babies are sat on top of a grey mat with a large piece of tin foil in front of them. One of them is turned around looking behind them at their parent/carer who is smiling at them. The second baby is sat up scrunching their bib into their mouth.
