Playgrounding

Back to our work See upcoming Playgrounding events

Playgrounding is our professional development and training programme for artists, library and venue staff, support workers and early years professionals supported by international mentors.

Our Artists work alongside both library and venue teams and with parents and carers to deepen family engagement with parents/carers. This helps them gain the confidence and enthusiasm to sustain creative engagement with their children over time.

Playground artists also offer training to external partners to develop and enhance their understanding, creative skills and confidence, leaving a lasting legacy across the UK.

"It's given me both a deeper understanding of my practice in relation to babies and adults and community but it's also helped think about how we support artists to grow in that way, to grow alongside the communities we are working in"

Jeremy Harrison, Playground Lead Artist
